One of the highlights of my work, while I was in Shanghai, is Nike projects. There were two main projects ongoing, one is Nike innovation (Nike Buzz) and the other was Nike.com experience enhancement following the design process.

We conducted user interviews to find in-depth insights. After we looked into insights, we identified 6 different user archetypes. We also use a systematic mapping approach to find potential opportunities that we can generate business value. Through this process, We selected key journeys such as checkout, login/registration, product display to work in an agile manner. Designed and validated workflows and interfaces through iterations.

New discovery Journey for Nike

Nike Buzz was one of the ideas from the Design thinking process which is a user-centric approach to problem-solving can lead to innovation. We conducted user research to build the archetypes and customer purchase journey to understand users. after that, we had a creative workshop to identify the user's pain points and brainstorm ideas to solve it. We picked some ideas and developed them to prototypes and test them to validate them to narrow down. Repeat it.

Say Hello to Nike Buzz, your simple tool to browse the hottest trending product right now. With the dynamic display and interaction, this is the coolest way to browse what's hot in Nike.

Product Display

Product display design presents text interlaced with images in a single scrolling experience with parallax used to manage text length variations. Allowing users to get a more expansive and deeper understanding of the product.

Checkout

  • Help consumers have easy purchase journey

  • Optimize the checkout flow in each detailed scenario including guest, new member and existing member

  • Redesign UI to make it consistent and functionally clear for users

Sign-up / Log-in

The redesign of the login experience creates a cleaner UI with a higher degree of engagement and visibility with the benefit copy through the use of animations. By optimising the number of fields and using a mobile number as a registration option we create a familiar and perceptively simple way to onboard.

My Account

In the re-design of the My Account landing page, we display a personalised feed of new products with clear references to ‘style with’ or similar to provide ongoing value as the relationship with Nike progresses.
